a quick language lesson

The other day a group of kids from the neighborhood came running up to me and said “coucou!”

My first reaction was ‘oh my god, how do they know?   Who told them?”

But after a bit of research I discovered that “coucou” is the colloquial phrase for “hello.”

I’m glad I didn’t beat the merde out of them.

    • Hi Lori,
shoot, you should be leaving soon. I’ve been trotting around the south of france for the past couple of weeks.
Sounds like you totally got the travel bug…Kyoto is supposed to be awesome, btw. Can’t wait to read about your travels. Bon voyage!!!!
